Creaturette Embroidery Series in Coin Purses and Frames

I’ve been working on some new designs in embroidery, and am now introducing my Creaturette Series.  They are a variety of strange girls who identify with various elements of myth and nature, especially flora and fauna.  I love them.  They are sweet, elusive creatures that thrive on moonlight and love to dance.

Here is a Creaturette in Kitsune (Fox)

I ended up putting her on a sew in purse frame.  I ordered a bunch of them from Etsy but I couldn’t wait, so I went down to Joanns and got one to try before my fancy ones come in!

I added a doily pocket on the other side, of course, since I’m addicted to doily pockets!

The other Creaturette I have finished is in Bear.  She found her way into one of my frames.

The frames are hand made by me here in my studio.  I used a vintage frame from a thrift shop and used it to create a resin mold.  Then I cast the resin frames and paint them.  I have so many ideas for these, but for now they are perfect little addition to any lonely wall.  They’ll be up for sale on Etsy shortly, along with some of the coin purses.  Thanks for checking them out!
